Help A Fallow Deer Get To The Food

Before starting the fun, talk with the kids about what kind of food can be given to wild animals during a harsh, snowy winter.

We remind kids about three types of food:

Dry food: hay, straw, dried shoots with leaves (leaf baler)
Juicy food: potatoes, beetroot, carrots, cabbage, apples
Concentrated food: acorns, beech fruit (beech tree), chestnuts, cereal grains

Goal:

  • Familiarizing kids with the topic of feeding wild animals.

Time: 5-10 minutes

MATERIALS

  • Exercise sheet (attachment)
  • Colourful crayons

Task Description

Children solve the riddle by completing the maze and finally color the treats for deer.
