Goal:
– Familiarizing kids with a proper way to feed animals.
Time: 30 minutes.

MATERIALS
- sunflower seeds, wheat, millet seeds
- edible gelatine
- cookie cutterstray
- paper straws
- ribbons
Task Description
1. Dissolve gelatine in hot water, according to the instruction on the packaging.
2. Add gelatine to the seeds and leave it to cool down a bit.
3. Put the mass into the cookie cutters. Dip the paper straw to indicate, where the hole will be. It’s important that the hole isn’t too close to the edge, because it can rip the snack.
4. Put the cookie cutters onto the tray and put it into a fridge until it’s completely solid (about an hour).
5. Take the mass out of the cookie cutters. Thread the ribbons through them and hang it on a tree. A flat ribbon will be better in this case than string, that can cut through the whole construction.
