Jewish music is often called klezmer music. Why? The etymology of this word is quite simple. “Klezmer” means “musician” in Hebrew. What is interesting is that Polish klezmers were often inspired by the music created by Mazurs or Kuyavians. Today we will learn a traditional Jewish folk song that is sung during holidays like Hanukkah – Hava Nagila.
