A card made of upcycling

Upcycling is one of our favourite topics. We like it, because we can create something new, often useful, using useless things that could have been thrown away into the rubbish bin. Look at our previous projects: a mug made of plastic bottle or a lantern made of glass jar. This time we suggest something else. Because Women`s Day is coming, propose the children make a card of upcycling for their mum, grandma or maybe sister. They`ll like it for sure!

MATERIALS

  • A sheet of thicker coloured paper
  • A liquid glue
  • A brush for the glue
  • Scissors
  • Beads
  • Rolls of toilet paper
  • Glitter
  • Sheets of coloured paper in any colours (optional)

Instruction

The instruction for how to make a card like that is rather easy and we have a few suggestions.

Suggestions: 1. Try to cut the strips of the same thickness out of paper and rolls of toliet paper.

2. Because our objective is to use upcycling in art we didn`t put any colour on rolls of toliet paper, but you can paint them, leave them to dry and then stick.

3. A liquid glue will connect all the elements perfectly, including the beads, but the artwork should be left to dry for at least a dozen or so minutes.
